Vision Statement:

With God’s help, we seek to be a community of believers that:

• Embraces the whole Bible as God’s inspired Word and the New Testament as our rule for faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 119:9-16).

• Shares the saving gospel, stressing the need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19-20; Matt. 22:37).

• Invites and warmly welcomes others to join in worshiping and following Jesus (Matt. 4:19; 22:1-10; Heb. 13:2).

• Imitates Jesus’ example of humble service and caring for others in our church, neighborhood, and world (Matt. 20:25-28; John 13:1-17; 1 John 3:17).

• Nurtures and calls out the gifts of each person to serve in the church’s ministry (Rom. 12:4-8; Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Pet. 4:10).

• Lives and works together in harmony as brothers and sisters in Christ (Matt. 18:15-20; Rom. 12:18; Eph. 4:2-3; 1 Cor. 12:12-26).

• Values biblical themes and practices from our Brethren heritage, such as: anointing for healing (James 5:13-18) believer’s baptism (Matt. 28:19;Acts 2:38, 8:36-39) church as committed community (Matt. 18:15-20; Heb. 10:25; 1 Pet. 2:9-12) love feast (John 13:1-17; Luke 22:7-20) peacemaking (Matt. 5:38-48; Rom. 12:14-21; 1 Peter 2:21, 23) simplicity (Matt. 6:25-34; Rom. 12:2)
